Growing up in Chicago I have been exposed to the evolution of the city through a new millennium and inspired by the historical elements that shaped it. The deteriorating articles of the past reflect times of pride and craftsmanship. I try to capture the beauty of these elements in hopes of inspiring the same qualities to those building our future.

I am fascinated with typography, architecture, photography, signage and advertising design within objects and surfaces that show texture through age and natural deterioration. I am specifically attracted to the car and motorcycle culture. Automotive communication that tells the fast paced stories of racing heros, pin-up girls and the machines that take them to the edge.

I am inspired by the world that surrounds me. I see things everywhere that inspire new works. I love to visit flea markets, car & bike shows, antique shops and architectural salvage studios. I take in the natural aging of the elements around us. Hand painted lettering, old stickers, work benches, weathered billboards, vintage signs and antique labels. They all tell a story.
